In 2013, Al Masaood Energy took the strategic initiative to diversify into Controlled Pressure Drilling (CPD) services. As a multi-component drilling application, CPD is an adaptive drilling process that provides more accuracy for wellbore pressures control. This drilling application is mostly adapted to mature fields with depleted reservoirs and narrow pressure windows. CPD includes three major techniques: Air Drilling (AD), Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Underbalanced Drilling (UBD).
Through CPD services, we assist our clients in increasing ROP (Rate of Penetration) using Air Drilling techniques or aerated fluid drilling. Moreover, our Underbalanced Drilling techniques will help minimizing formation damage and preventing loss circulation, in addition to reducing fluid costs and enhancing reservoir productivity.
