• Al Masaood Oil & Gas partners with EEG

Al Masaood Oil & Gas partnered with EEG (Emirates Environmental Group) with contribution to the 2018 Can Collection Day as campaign Main Sponsor.

 

The Day brought together more than 115 entities from across the Emirates to participate in the event. The combined effort of various hotels, families, academic institutions and corporations reeled in 4,000 kg of Aluminium Cans for recycling.

 

According to the Dubai-based NGO, till date this year, EEG has managed to collect 4,562 kg of Aluminium cans for recycling which forms 16.3% of the set target for 2018, which is of 28,000 kg. The collection of the said amount resulted in the mitigation of 60 MTCO2E, saving of 97 m3 of landfill space and saving of 910 million BTU of energy.

 

The campaign’s success is due to the collaboration and commitment of various government, corporate and academic institutions. Mrs. Habiba Al Mar’ashi, Co-Founder and Chairwoman of EEG, expressed her gratitude to Al Masaood Oil & Gas for coming on board as a main sponsor for the Can Collection Day. EEG also appreciates the support of Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Ajman Tourism Development Department, McDonald’s UAE, Abela & Co, RAK Ceramics, American International School of Abu Dhabi, Blue LLC, Tristar, Paper Chase International Inc, Sharif Metals, Gulf News, Dubai TV and Virgin Radio for making this campaign a success.
