Al Masaood Oil & Gas got awarded a Certificate of Acknowledgement for professional support carried out in successfully completing the Make-and-Break Testing Program of TenarisHydril Premium Connections.
The Testing Program took place following to an agreement between both companies where Tenaris considered using Al Masaood Oil & Gas facilities and Tubular Running Services equipment in order to perform the connections tests.
Al Masaood carried out Tong Test on TenarisHydril Premium Connections by using Clincher power tong, grift face dies technology on both drive and back-up in its facility based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
Three M&B tests were done on each sets of pipes with different torque ranges and in all tests the tong could reach the required torque smoothly without deforming nor leaving any marks on the pipes.
An ADNOC operating company with complex well operations and Tenaris’ representatives attended the Testing Program and were satisfied with the performance.
